Individual Therapy
“One thing about pain, pain is universal
It don't matter how much money you got
It don't matter how bad your financial situation is
Pain is the one thing that everybody in the world can relate to
You can't run from it, you can't escape it
It's really a part of life
It's all about how you deal with it
Them decisions you make on how you deal with it will determine
Just how bad your next experience with pain will be
And that's a fact” - Jason Terrence Phillips
The quote above epitomizes the work we will be doing together. We will work to understand what causes us pain, and our attempts to alleviate it. Often times, we’ll come to learn, that our attempts to avoid pain are the exact thoughts and actions perpetuating it. We’ll learn to not only withstand it, but to use it as fuel for a more meaningful life. We’ll master the ability to embrace the inevitable, and initiate change where possible.
Couples Therapy
“There is always some madness in love. But there is also always some reason in madness.” - Friedrich Nietzsche
We’re going to look at what is most meaningful in your relationship, the purpose behind certain thoughts and actions, and the emotions that underly our behaviors towards ourselves and one another . We’ll get a better understanding of what made each of you, well, you, and how your history, personalities, and ways of viewing the world interface with your relationship. The goal is to get to a point where anything can be discussed with your partner, without worrying about “walking on eggshells.” Couples therapy is aimed at feeling like teammates again, rather than competitors, or worse, strangers. The capacity to manage conflict will be improved, and the shared meaning for the future will become clearer.
Business/ Performance Coaching
“The greatest danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we reach it.” - Michelangelo
To put it frankly, this service is for those who are, or want to be, at the top of their field, whatever field it may be. Having worked with doctors, lawyers, managers, sales professionals, and entrepreneurs, I’ve noticed a couple common themes. One is that they know they have more potential, and they are unsure how to access it. Another is that balance is sometimes hard to exercise. Whether it is getting the most out of oneself, or one’s organization, coaching provides the space, insight, and tools necessary for the excellence you aspire for.
